Caregiving for a dependent family member is a 24/7/365 responsibility. It doesn’t take long to realize that it isn’t a one person job. It requires a team of loving, compassionate and caring people walking alongside, providing the main caregiver support, encouragement, and rest.
If you are in need of rest and refreshment, if you find it sometimes difficult to provide purposeful activities and meaningful social interaction for your loved one, and if your loved one does not require the full medical care provided in a traditional nursing home setting, we would love to visit with you about what Joyful Journey can offer both you and your loved one.

Enrollment Process
Step 1: Let's Talk!
Give us a call or stop by the Joyful Journey house. We would love to talk to you. This conversation usually takes around 20 minutes and allows us to better understand you and your loved one’s needs.
Step 2: Try Out Our Services
Once the initial conversation is complete, we will schedule a time for you and your loved one to come visit Joyful Journey, try out a few activities, and get to know us. Please plan to be at the house for at least 90 minutes.
Step 3: Come Back As a Friend!
Come back as Friend! The moment has arrived and the paperwork* is complete for your loved one to attend Joyful Journey as our Friend. We will work with you to establish a schedule that fits your needs.
* Prior to enrolling, we will need a current TB test or chest x-ray along with information relating to medications, diagnoses, and related health conditions.

Building your care team early will help ease the transition for your loved one to trust the care of someone other than family.

It’s vital to have someone with whom to share experiences, enjoy leisure time, and share a sympathetic ear.
